Sebastian Holmbäck, born in 1971, lives and works just north of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Originally trained as a designer, he has worked across furniture, lighting, and product design, created interiors for private homes and businesses, and curated exhibitions throughout his career. His clients include many leading Danish design brands, and he has received numerous international design awards.

Today, he divides his time between his practice as a visual artist, select design clients, and his work as a medium, collaborating with companies and private individuals through his firm, LUMIS.

Sebastian is also on the board of the HarlangToksvig Foundation and a member of the artist community under the Academy Council.
